Ron Spofford, a 1961 graduate of Edward Little High School, walks along the Androscoggin River in Lewiston Sunday during the Maine Speakout Project's "Walk with the One You Love." Spofford said he came up from his home in Boston specifically to show support for gay people. More than 75 people walked a circular route through Lewiston and Auburn. This is the first year that the annual walk was held outside Portland.
