Speakouts

Our speakers all narrate a life event as a springboard to discussion. Speakers can be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or straight allies. Typically they relate a personal experience however, we can design a program to reflect the needs of your community. Each speaker talks for 3 – 5 minutes and then answers questions from the audience. Our speakers, as long at it is respectfully asked, will respond to any question. Speakers are well trained in answering difficult questions with tact and grace. Speakouts take place in schools, churches and community events.

Everybody Counts in the Workplace

Based on the Speakout model, Everybody Counts in the Workplace uses the life and work experiences of LGBT people to begin the discussion on the importance of sexual and gender diversity in the workplace. Speakers engage the audience in a discussion of the impact of discrimination and why diversity is important to Maine business.
